DAVE GROHL Seen On Crutches In London
June 16, 2015According to The Pulse of Radio, photos taken of Dave Grohl in London for the first time since the FOO FIGHTERS frontman broke his leg in a stage fall in Sweden have surfaced online. The pictures show Grohl walking out of his London hotel on crutches with his injured leg in a cast. He was also seen being pushed around by wife Jordyn Blum in a wheelchair earlier in the day. The couple are traveling with their three daughters, Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint.
Grohl fractured his leg after falling from the stage on Friday night (June 12) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The two following concerts in Switzerland and the Netherlands were immediately canceled. So far the band's next show — a headlining date this Friday (June 19) at London's massive Wembley Stadium — remains on the schedule.
The frontman took his tumble during the Gothenburg set after missing a ramp and falling into the gap between the stage and audience.
A statement released by the band has since confirmed that Grohl suffered at least one fracture in his leg. After being temporarily patched up by on-site medical personnel, he returned to the stage to finish the show in a chair.
The statement added that the "full extent of Dave's injuries are still being determined."
FOO FIGHTERS are scheduled to kick off a massive North America tour in Washington D.C. on July 4, the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's first album.
